We Offer A Variety Of Free Services!
Develop Soil Conservation and Water Quality Plans and provide
assistance to landowners to install best management
practices. Emphasis will be placed on new cooperators and
livestock operations.
Implement the environmental
provisions of the Farm Bill and promote and/or implement a
range of local, state and federal programs including the
Carroll County Land Preservation and Rural Legacy Programs,
the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program, the Maryland
Agricultural Water Quality Cost-Share Program and the Water
Quality Improvement Act of 1998.
Review and
approve erosion and sediment control plans.
Provide a conservation equipment
rental program for farmers and a tree seedling sale for the
community.
Coordinate
the Envirothon education program for high school students.

The Carroll Soil Conservation District is located at 698J
Corporate Center Court in Westminster, MD. Our phone number is
410-848-8200 ext. 3 and our fax number is 410-848-8258. We are
located in the Carroll County Commerce Center (which is close to the
Carroll County Airport). From 140W go to Rt. 97N exit (towards
Littlestown) and stay in the right hand lane when exiting off the
ramp. Make a right hand turn into the Corporate Center and go
to the last building on the left (#698), follow to the back of the
building and we are in Suite J. There is a flag pole right in
front of our office.
